YEC – Sunday November 27 – Tali Grade 5
Shalom Everyone:
Today in Hebrew class we learned that most Hebrew words are built on three root letters and how understanding some of the roots opens a whole new understanding of the language. We did a nice exercise looking for words built on the root “life” in the prayer that we’ve learned “Ge’voorot”. Ask your kids to show you.
We also learned a beautiful song to welcome Shabbat, “Shalom Aleichem” as this coming Friday is a special Shabbat at the temple for grade 4 and 5. I’m looking forward to see you all for Kabbalat Shabbat, service and dinner. You can register for the dinner by clicking on this link (please register before Wednesday noon):

We practiced finding reading from the Bible as we were looking for texts about Joshua. We learned that he was a military man, a prophet, and Mosses’ successor. Please ask your kids to tell you about him.
Homework for this week is as usual, practicing reading the Ge’voorot prayer.
Have a wonderful week and please, don’t hesitate to contact me for any concerns or questions.
