Unsung Heroine Etienne Kaplan
WRJ Unsung Heroine Award.
Presented to Sisterhood Member Etienne Kaplan.
June 25, 2013.
We are pleased to announce the presentation of the WRJ Centennial Unsung Heroine Award this past June.
As an important member of Sisterhood for many years, Etienne exemplifies the true unsung heroine. She is kind, generous of her time, willing to help at all times, always does what is asked of her with a smile on her face. Her abilities to organize and create outstanding programming go beyond words.
Etienne has worked in all areas of Sisterhood and has taken on many challenges, most recently our Sisterhood Retreat and many years of running our major fundraising event that has raised significant amounts of funds that allow our Sisterhood to provide exceptional programming and support for other areas of our Temple community.
We have honoured Etienne at our Annual General Meeting. A special presentation was made to her and she was presented with a Unsung Heroine Certificate and WRJ’s Covenant of the Generations. A reception was held in her honour shortly after our new Sisterhood Board was installed.
Mazel Tov, Etienne.
We are so proud of our true Unsung Heroine.
Mazel tov. Etienne – congratulations on receiving this wonderful award. We are so happy that Sisterhood recognizes the value of your contribution. You not only give generously of your time and expertise, you provide us all with an example to emulate. We are so proud to be among your friends.
We wish you many many more years of activity.

Etienne
The process of immigration to a new country is difficult for most people but Etienne has been able to bring the gap and make a marvellous contribution to her new Jewish community and to develop many new friends who value her warmth, generosity and yiddishkeit.
Ad mea v’esrim(till 120)may you continue your good works for a long time.
In friendship and great affection,
Phyllis Broder
