#TorontoStrong Interfaith Service of Peace and Consolation
On April 23, a beautiful Toronto afternoon was darkened by inexplicable violence on Yonge Street.
We offer our condolences to the families who lost loved ones and pray for the complete and speedy recovery of those who have sustained injury. We express our deepest gratitude for the first responders as we pray for the emotional healing of our fellow residents who witnessed the horror.
We stand together with our fellow Torontonians resolute in our belief that the people of this city will continue to demonstrate that we are united in our diversity, passionate about our liberties, seeking peace and pursuing it.
The City is planning an Interfaith Service of Peace and Consolation this Sunday evening, April 29 at 7 pm at Mel Lastman Square, 5100 Yonge Street. Rabbi Splansky has been invited to offer a prayer on behalf of the Jewish community.
All are encouraged to come and stand in solidarity and strength.
