Thursday Shacharit, Breakfast and Talmud Study

Temple members may be interested in a new study opportunity. After morning services on Thursdays, those who come for breakfast receive an additional treat.

A group of regular morning service attendees have initiated their own Talmud study session. We are currently studying a section of Sanhedrin that discusses what our sages teach about life after death. Handouts are in English and the discussion includes not only the text, but also material from other sources that contextualize the material in both historical and rabbinic contexts.

The class is informal and is led by Temple member Mark Goodman. We are also joined by Cantor Maissner. Morning service begins at 7.30 a.m. and Talmud study at 8.20 a.m. concluding by 9.00 a.m. Registration is not required.
