"Through Our Eyes: The Joys and the Complexities of Life in Israel."
An evening with Toronto’s Shinshinim, Israel’s finest young emissaries.
Wednesday, May 27, 2015
7:30 p.m.
The Toronto area Shinshinim will join together on Wednesday, May 27th for a fascinating conversation on the ‘issues of the day’ in Israel while we will learn from their perspectives on life in Israel in 2015.
An Israeli 18 year old has a unique philosophy of life, much different from our North American students, as they prepare for their future. We will welcome many of the current 20 Shinshinim who are currently based in Toronto for their year of service to join in this dialogue.
Hosted by Avra Rosen, Lay leader for the Shinshinim, Holy Blossom Temple
Moderated by Joan Garson, Holy Blossom Temple President, and Michael Davis, Chair of the Identity Committee for Community Capacity Building for UJA Federation and former Host parent.
This is an incredible opportunity to hear from the finest young Israelis in our community. How do young Israelis, who are about to enter the army, feel about the many important internal and external issues taking place in Israel today?
