A musical adaptation of Abigail Pogrebin’s best-selling book, Stars of David: Prominent Jews Talk About Being Jewish. This Canadian Premiere musical, conceived by Aaron Harnick, is a snapshot of Jewish identity told through interviews with some of America’s most recognizable public figures, including: Gloria Steinem, Leonard Nimoy, Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Joan Rivers, Aaron Sorkin, Tony Kushner, Fran Drescher, and more.
You don’t have to be Jewish to connect with this funny and engrossing song-cycle featuring original music by Broadway’s finest composer/lyricists, including William Finn, Tom Kitt, Marvin Hamlisch, Sheldon Harnick, and Duncan Sheik – composers and lyricists of such shows as A Chorus Line, Big, Fiddler on the Roof, The Way We Were, Miss Saigon, Caroline or Change, Falsettos and Spring Awakening.
