Today, as the first candle burns, we are reminded of the age-old ability of the Jewish People to rededicate and reimagine, to rebuild and renew. How grateful we are at Holy Blossom Temple to have arrived at such a moment of collective strength! Let us be renewed by its light. Chag Chanukah Sameach!

Intergenerational Chanukah Party

4:45 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
We are gathering together to spin the dreidel, eat latkes, and light our Chanukah Menorahs surrounded by friends of all ages.
As the candles burn low on our menorot, we will dance to Oozakazoo, hear a story from Rabbi Splansky and sing with Cantor Maissner. Our teens and parent volunteers will keep the craft tables well stocked and the latkes flowing.
At 6:00 p.m. families and friends will either ascend to the Youth Chapel for the congregational Kabbalat Shabbat service or remain in the PSCH for a Tot Shabbat service. At the conclusion of both services, all are invited to stay for a vegetarian pot-luck communal dinner.
Please RSVP. It is particularly important to do so if you are staying for the pot-luck dinner.

The Intergenerational Chanukah Party was a huge success! There were lots of grandparents dancing with their little ones, the latkes were yummy and everyone loved Rabbi Splansky’s story. Thanks to Karen Abells, Mary Seldon, Mari Lynn Rusak, Elana Fehler and many others for organizing this special event. We look forward to Chanukah 2015 at Holy Blossom!
