Dear Parents:
Today in Grade 3 we added the word “mit-tz-taer” to our Hebrew dictionaries, meaning “sorry”. We read a story called “The Hardest Word” and talked about the importance of repentance on Yom Kippur.
During our Hebrew lesson, the students reviewed similarities and differences between the letters Reish and Dalet, and practiced their Hebrew reading. Finally, we completed a Hebrew/English transliteration challenge, where students wrote English words using Hebrew letters and vowels for their classmates to guess.
We are looking forward to seeing families next week for our Sukkot decorating program! Grade 3 students and families will be meeting at 9:30am in our regular classroom, and our day will end early at 12:00pm. See you then and Shana Tova!
