Sunday September 17, 2017 – Jaclyn
Dear Grade 2 Parents,
In today’s class, we focussed primarily on the upcoming high holiday- Rosh Hashanah. We discussed several rituals such as eating sweet foods, performing Tashlich and the 2 other common names of Rosh Hashanah and their significance. In services, we had the opportunity to hear the Shofar and in class we studied the 3 different types of sounds that it can make. We also did an arts and crafts activity where the students created Shana Tova cards. Lastly, we learned a new letter today, Mem!
Wishing everyone a Shana Tova U’Metukah!
