Sunday October 1, 2017 – Sandra
What a great day; we had gorgeous sunshine outside and students and parents shining brightly inside. We started our session by introducing Sukkot and reviewing the meanings and symbols of the holiday.
The students and their parents made decorations for the Temple Sukkah.
After decorating the Sukkah, we worked alongside Rabbi Satz who shared that Sukkot is also about helping others through Tikkun Olam – repairing the World – and we fulfilled a meaningful Mitzvah, sorting donated clothing for the Out of the Cold program.
To make our day even more fun, we had a pizza lunch before going home.
With this spirit of community, I would like to wish all my students and families Chag Sameach.Happy Sukkot & Happy Thanksgiving and I hope to see you all at the Temple’s Simchat Torah Celebration!
