Sunday October 1, 2017 – Daniella
Dear Parents,
This week our focus was about Sukkot. We learned that we eat and sleep in the Sukkah. Sukkot is seven days long and to make a Sukkah you need three walls. On Sukkot you shake the Lulav and Etrog. The students listened to a story about Sukkot, which was about a man building his Sukkah on top of his apartment building, which in the end he was able to keep.
Then we made decorations for the Holy Blossom Sukkah. They all made wind chimes that turned out to be gorgeous! I want to thank all the parents that came and helped today, we really appreciated it.
Just a reminder that next week there will be no school and we resume Sunday school on October 15th at 9:30am, I hope you all have a great long weekend and we will see you in two weeks.
When we return we will continue learning about Aleph-Bet the next letter we will learn will be Bet and the Hebrew word will be Bayit, which means home. We will talk briefly about Simchat Torah, which is on October 12th and is also Consecration for our Grade 1s, I hope to see you all there.
Sincerely,
Daniella Lebow
