Sunday November 26, 2017 – Grade 5

Shalom everyone:

I want to thank all the parents that joined our class today. It was a pleasure having you and seeing the joy on the kids faces.

We talked about Joshua the prophet and read about some tactics that he used, both from a text given and from the Bible. To conclude the study of Joshua, the kids wrote about an experience that they had where they were scared to do something and they got the courage to do it after all, just as Joshua was encouraged by God to continue with the words: CHAZAK VEEMATZ, be strong and courageous. Today when we finish reading each book of the Torah, we say: Chazak Chazak ve’nitchazak.

In Hebrew, we read some text about Chanukah, shared the story of the holiday and continued reading and working on Kedushah.
