Sunday May 17, 2017 – Daniella
Dear Parents,
This week was our week in review this semester. The students did a great job remembering all the Jewish holidays we learned. They all know the Purim story and were eager to tell me about it. We also remembered Yom Ha’atzmaut is Israel’s birthday and Israel turned 69 years old. We learned the importance of treating animals with respect and kindness. If we see a dog, cat or other animal in distress we should help the animal if it is safe to do and to call for help. The end of May and beginning of June is Shavuot. We learned that Shavuot is when we were given the Torah and Ten Commandments on Mount Sinai. The students made their own ten commandments today that looked amazing!
Next week, is our last week of Sunday school and as this saddens me, it hopefully means that the warmer weather is around the corner. We will be having a fun class next week making vases for Shavuot if time permits. In addition, we will be having a fun talent show from other students and a slideshow of everything we’ve done this year. I really hope to see all of you there for our last day of school!
Sincerely,
Daniella Lebow
