Dear Grade 1 Families:

Today we had a wonderful Havdalah program for our parents and I want to thank all the parents who came and participated in the activities we did today. It was a great day of fun making spice bottles, candles, and Kiddish cups. Havdalah is marking the end to Shabbat and once we have finished the service we say Shavuah Tov (have a good week). Since Pesach is coming up in two weeks, I thought it would be nice to make an Afikomen bag.  They all turned out to be very nice! We ended the day with the Havdalah and lit the candle and smelled the spices it was a great way to end such an amazing day.

Next week, we will continue to learn about Pesach. We will be learning the words for the Ma Nishtana so the students will hopefully, be ready by Seder. In addition, we will be learning about what is Hametz and what is not Hametz so that they know what they can eat. Please remember to bring with Tzedakah each week I would really appreciate it.
