Sunday January 29 – Jaclyn & Rebekah

Dear Grade Two Parents,

Today the students learned about Tu B’Shevat – the birthday of the trees! We read “The Lorax” by Dr. Seuss, and discussed the importance of trees in our lives. After brainstorming different ways we can help save the trees, the students each contributed to a tree on the bulletin board. The students also took home JNF blue boxes to help raise money for planting trees in Israel! In Hebrew class, we introduced Gimmel and Nun, and reviewed vowels and letters that the students have learned throughout the year.

We are looking forward to seeing all of the parents/guardians next week for our family mezuzah making
