Sunday January 28, 2018 – Sandra
We had a lovely and meaningful Tu B’Shevat Seder with our students and parents. The Tu B’Shevat seder is a beautiful way to celebrate the birthday of the trees, started by the Kabbalists. The seder combines singing, reading eating a variety of fruits that grow in Israel, drinking 4 cups of white and red grape juice, and celebrating the miracle of trees.
It was wonderful to have the participation of our parents at our seder as we learned and experienced together.
It is my hope that families will be inspired to create a tradition of hosting a Tu B’Shevat seder, and have your own next year!
Special thank you to Lily for organizing all the food, Lisa for setting the tables, Avishai for leading us in song, and all the parents that brought the delicious fruits and juice.
