Hello Families:

Today we celebrated Tu Bshvat, the holiday for the trees and we talked about the importance of trees.

Today we also celebrated Riva’s birthday. We coordinated and compared the two birthday parties. We set the  tables with birthday plates and decorations. To celebrate Tu Bshvat we ate special fruit – apples, pears and nectarines. We said the blessing for fruit from a tree. To celebrate Riva’s birthday, we ate ice cream sandwiches and sang “Happy Birthday.”

Since it was a birthday party, we also had some extra playtime and after that we read the book “The Giving Tree” and talked about the importance of planting new trees.

We had an awesome day!
