Sunday January 14, 2018 – Rebekah
Welcome back!
We started off the new year with a busy day in Grade 3! First we exercised our creative juices to freshen up our name magnets for our Question of the Day – which is how we start every day in Grade 3.
After a brief service with David Gershon, we enjoyed an engaging music program with the Shinshinim. We then introduced our next topic in Jewish lifecycles – the Jewish wedding. Over the next 4 weeks, our Grade 3 students will be working on planning a mock wedding which will take place on February 11th. The students learned some basic facts about Jewish weddings, and requested the jobs that they would like to have in preparation for the big day!
Finally, we ended with a Hebrew transliteration challenge, and decoded some of the English signs (written in Hebrew letters) that are found in Israel. Looking forward to another great Sunday next week
