Dear Grade 2 Parents,

Today we learned about the Book of Esther found in the Megillah and watched a short film on the story of Purim. We examined the various characters, and discussed the theme of heroism and how Esther is an example of a brave Jewish leader who is remembered as a hero for saving the lives of the Jewish people. The students had a great time participating in a special Purim play. In Hebrew, we learned two new vowels, Tazyreh and Koobootz.
