Shinshinim for 2014-2015
We welcome Tal Yitzhaki and Aviv Naftali as our new Shinshinim for the coming year. Get ready – they are arriving the last week of August! They are a wonderful team – already working well together. Families have been set and this is a huge HBT year for hosting. Thanks to all who have raised their hands to welcome and care for our wonderful Shinshinim.
Tal comes from Timrat (in the Galilee).
She majored in Biology and communications in high school. She has had many experiences abroad including participating in Australia, Detroit, and a Jewish camp in the Detroit area one summer. She loves running, camping hiking and of course, “hanging out with friends and family”.
Aviv is from Haifa.
He is the oldest of 3 children in his family – the big brother to two sisters. He majored in Chemistry, history and music at Leo Baeck High School in Haifa. Aviv is an avid musician. He has organized and been a part of many bands who have played throughout Haifa. He is really looking forward to having fun with music when he is here!
Tal and Aviv,
I am so excited for your arrival in Toronto next month. After spending time with the two of you in Israel in January, I know how fortunate Holy Blossom will be to have the two of you as part of our community over the next year, and to takeover from Taly and Maayan, who we will miss very much. You can tell your families from all of us that we at Holy Blossom, together with your six host families, will take very good care of you and treat you like our own daughter and son, while you will be with us in Toronto. Enjoy the rest of your summer and see you on August 22!
