Shalom to Ido and Lia, and shalom to Maayan and Lior!
It is hard to believe that as we welcome Spring, we look ahead to the end of our School Year and with that, it comes time to say “shalom” to our Shinshinim, Ido Levy and Lia Sulimany. Ido and Lia have brought so much to Holy Blossom this past year. They have shared their thoughts and dreams for their and our Israel, and have brought us into their world regarding Israel’s future. They, like all of our Shinshinim (we are now in Year 12) have given us a chance to see Israel regularly form the eyes of a young person, about to enter a critical time in their lives – enlisting in Tzahal – the Israeli army.
In order to thank them formally, we invite all to join us in Family Service on Shabbat, May 25th at 10:30 AM, so that we may say our Shalom to them officially. This is not the final goodbye as they will be at camps this summer (Ido and B’nei Brith Ottawa, and Lia to Camp Shalom in Gravenhurst).
And in almost the same breath we welcome our new Shinshiniyot – Maayan Gean and Lior Cohen – two lovely women will join us in August 2019 and be with us for the 2019-2020 school year. We are excited to welcome them. If you are interested in hosting either of these women for the 2019-2020 school year, please let contact Debbie Spiegel asap, dspiegel@holyblossom.org.
