Shabbat N’ginah and Lay Worship Service Leaders
By Cantor Benjamin Z. Maissner.
Dear Friends,
Our Shabbat N’ginah is back in full swing. As has been our practice for a while now, our N’ginah Band is back this Friday evening for Kabbalat Shabbat Service at 6 p.m. Join members of our congregation as Lindi and I welcome Shabbat with joy of song and fervor. We are fortunate to have with us talented musicians to help us celebrate Shabbat with passion and delightful sounds. Our melodies soar and reach the heavens while we all participate in singing and engage in prayer and reflection.
Lay Worship Service Leaders.
What a privilege it is to know that our own dedicated Lay Leaders are involved in leading daily worship services throughout the year, both morning and evening as well as at homes of mourners who observe Shiva.
We are proud to announce that on Monday, October 21st and the four following Mondays we are offering a course of worship for Lay Leaders who will go on to help conduct our daily services. Both Lindi and I are looking forward to teaching anyone interested in the art and skills of Ba’alei T’filah (master of prayer). This is an important and rewarding Mitzvah – it is a great privilege to be able to lead services for our congregation.
Please join us and become a light to our community.
My Dear Benny, all the best, if there anyone there can do what you do, please stand-up.
I wish I can Join this Shabbat.
Dear Cantor Maissner & Lindi,
Thank you for offering this Ba’alai T’filah training for Lay Leaders. What time are the sessions? I’m not seeing the event on the Community Calendar.
With thanks,
Cheryl
