Shabbat Family Program: Tikkun Olam
This coming Shabbat, February 8, 2014 we welcome you to our (almost last) Shabbat Family Program for the year. This Shabbat we will investigate the theme of Tikkun Olam (Repairing the World). There are many ways that we as a community or even individuals can make our world a better place. We will have a chance to look at the numerous opportunities we have at Temple and in our general community; opportunities where we can make a difference. It doesn’t take much – just that little bit of extra effort.
Join us at 9:00 a.m. in the Eisendrath Auditorium. We will gather together; students will have the opportunity to work with their teachers while the parents will have a chance to study with Rabbi Helfman. Our program is followed by our Family Service at 10:30 in the Youth Chapel, with break out activities during the service for the children. All this is followed by a communal pot-luck lunch.
Please rsvp for this program. Email me, dspiegel@holyblossom.org! If you are able to join us for lunch (we hope so!) please consider bringing something for the pot-luck. All members of the congregation are invited. We would love to see you there!
Thanks very much and looking forward to seeing you on Shabbat.
