Shabbat Family Education Program Line-up 2014/2015
We are excited to share with you our Shabbat Family Education program line-up for families with children ages 4 (or younger) to 12. In anticipation of these exciting events, we want to share with you a complete list of dates and themes.
Shabbat Family programs are geared towards ALL families in our congregation, and are designed for children who attend public school, private school, Jewish day school, and our Religious school. Everyone is welcome!
Each Shabbat morning begins at 9:00 a.m. with a light snack. Parents will have an opportunity to meet with Rabbi Helfman for an adult discussion, while students will have an opportunity to discuss and do activities in age-appropriate groupings. The program flows directly into our Shabbat Family Service where children participate alongside their parents in a fun, guitar-led, interactive Shabbat service. Break out groups and more snacks compliment the service.
All are invited to join the pot-luck kiddush lunch following services. It is a great way to spend a Shabbat morning together as a family!
We hope to see you on the following Shabbat mornings:
- November 1, 2014: Jewish Journeys; Family Road Trip
- December 13, 2014: Chanukah 2.0; Beyond Chanukiah
- March 7, 2015: Shabbat Purim – the fun continues!
- March 28, 2015: Don’t Passover this Family Education program
- April 25, 2015: Israel and You
