Partners in Adult Learning this Summer
Three organizations of excellence in Adult learning have designed new materials for us to enjoy during this unusual summer. The curricula are intended to help us better understand and cope with life in a global pandemic.
The Shalom Hartman Institute
Hundreds of classes are accessible from some of the Jewish world’s greatest educators and thought leaders. Free of charge. Donations are welcome.
The Institute for Jewish Spirituality
This extraordinary faculty offers serious Jewish Meditation, Jewish yoga, and Jewish text study. A prayerful and contemplative thread is woven throughout these restorative offerings. Also free of charge. Donations are welcome.
The Florence Melton School
Thematic curricula are prepared by educators at Hebrew University for adult learners throughout the Diaspora Jewry. Tap into three thousand years of Jewish texts to shed light on timely and timeless questions. Fee per mini-course.
Ask Big Questions
Each Shabbat throughout the summer up to Rosh HaShanah, Holy Blossom Rabbis and Cantors will lead a text-based discussion on another “Big Question”. The curriculum was developed in partnership with Hillel International and The Union for Reform Judaism. Services from 10:30 to 12:15, following by this Shabbat afternoon Kiddush and Congregational Conversation. No fee. All are welcome.
