Our study and discussion will explore the origins and development of human speech and language as the animating force of Genesis, as the bridge between the Divine and the Human, and as the medium of the themes of the Yamim Noraim. We will ask how language specialists, the Bible, and the Rabbis of Old understand the power of human speech, and the propensity for humans to use their unique capacity both for good and for ill.
