The Holy Bs Finish the Regular Season on a High Note!
The Holy Bs finished the season on a high note with a 33 – 8 win over Beth Torah ending the regular season with an 8 – 2 record. We also set a team record with a total of at least 23 players suiting up for the Holy Bs this season including promising rookies Matthew Dicker and Adam Anshan (more about Mr. Dicker in a moment). The Holy Bs have now won 6 games in a row with our last loss being on June 19th.
We want to thank our many supporters and fans for coming out to so many games this season including today’s fan base of Jeff Dicker, Daniel Freedman (former Holy B player), Max Borins and Jack Borins (the last two helped keep score for us today).
As for today’s offensive stars, that could have been almost anyone who suited up for the Bs on this Sunday as almost all of us had multiple hit games and all but one of us scored at least two runs. Most impressive though were the very long home runs which were distributed as follows: Matthew Dicker hit two, Jon Burton, Josh Silver and Jordan Glicksman each hit one over the fence for a total of 5 homeruns. Jon Burton set a Holy Bs record by scoring in all 6 of his at bats. The defence was pretty solid today with the play of the game belonging to Josh Silver ranging to his left at shortstop.
The Holy Bs finished the regular season in 3rd place.
