October 4 – Junior Kindergarten

Dear JK Parents,
We had a great time on Sunday getting ready for Simchat Torah! We made Torah scrolls and marched with the SKs. We also had our first visit from Bar and Noam, our Shinshinim. We can’t wait to learn more about Israel from them!
We read a book called It’s A…It’s A…It’s A Mitzvah and talked about some Mitzvot that we could all do, like visiting sick people, taking care of the earth, and celebrating Shabbat. We will continue to explore Mitzvot throughout the year.
Next class, we will be starting to learn about the Creation story. We will be making creation books that we will add to each class. We will also start learning about Shabbat, beginning with the blessing for the Challah.
