October 28 – Grade 5 – Tali

Shalom everyone.
This past Wednesday we had a special program with Bar and Noam our Shinshinim, to commemorate 20 years since the assassination of Yitzhak Rabin and also to learn about ourselves and about our connection to Israel.
Our students decorated two cookies, one represented themselves  and the other – Israel. It was an interesting exercise. Ask your child how they decorated each cookie.
We read some more about Joshua and tried to understand the time in our  history and the obstacles that he faced entering Israel.
In Hebrew we continued reading and translating words and ideas of the Ge’voorot. What does it mean that God heals the sick, frees the captives, helps the fallen and more.
We will continue next week. Homework is reading out loud at least three times a week.
