October 25 – Grade 1 – Daniella Lebow

We learned the new letter Dalet and our new word Degel, which means flag. During snack today we read a book about Mitzvot and introduced our theme of Hachnasat Orchim, to welcome guests.
We have a new project in school this year – Art with Sandra…..on Sunday, we decorated a Hamsah out of plasticine and made it look like a mosaic. A Hamsah is a symbol which looks something like a hand and is used for blessing and protection.
Next week we will be learning the new letter Hay and will be learning about Jacob and his sons.
