October 25 – Grade 1 – Ariella

This week in grade 1 we made delicious glida (ice cream) pictures in honour of the letter gimmel. We also read our very first Hebrew word by combining two of the letters we have learned – alef and bet, to make the word Abba (dad).
We had a special visit from the other grade 1 class to read a book about Mitzvot, and we talked about what kind of good deeds the students are already doing.
Parents are encouraged to send a few coins with their children to donate to tzedaka each week as part of our gemilut chasadim initiative – thank you 🙂
