October 19 – Grade 6 – Core Course – Sari & Amy

In our core classes we looked at our topic of study throughout the year – an overview of Jewish history.  We began looking at our starting point the stories in the Book of Genesis. Students worked in groups to place the stories in order –  creating a timeline of the Matriarchs and Patriarchs.
In the coming weeks we will continue to look at these foundational stories, moving through Exodus as well.
With B’nei Mitzvah in the not so distant future, leadership will be an ongoing theme of discussion in our study of the earliest Jewish leaders.
