November 23 – Grade 6 – Hebrew – Tali

Shalom everyone,
We are practicing the reading and the chanting the Ashrei, a prayer that is recited two times daily in Jewish prayers. “Happy are they who dwell in your house, they will praise you always”. This prayer is recited as well on Shabbat, and we would love our future B’nei Mitzvah celebrants have the opportunity to recite this prayer as a part of his/her celebration. It is a very long prayer and has to be practiced at home.
Lindi Rivers, our cantorial soloist, will visit our class on December 7th, to teach us more about the Kiddush and the Ashrei. I hope that we will be able to show off to Lindi by that time.
