November 15- Grade 3 – Maya

On Sunday, we sang Hatikvah led by our Shamash Eli who carefully pointed to each word of the text. Also, both Shamashim Jordana/Eli  helped us during the class and especially during our service reading from the siddur-Yeshar Koach.
We worked on our next Jewish life cycle event – Consecration. We explored the significance of this event (the beginning of our formal Jewish Education) and were able to complete the page in our scrapbook. Also, we were lucky to cut/paste the group photo of our class from grade 1.
In Hebrew, we completed out first quiz and continued to work on lesson # 7 letters “Tsadee” and “Koof”. Our key word is “Tzedakah”. Please review the Hebrew reading on the website:http://www.behrmanhouse.com/click-and-read-free
Next week, we will work on lesson # 8, vowel “Chirik”.
