Nov 8 – Junior Kindergarten – Alexandra

Dear JK Parents,
Today we learned about the fourth day of creation and created a daytime sky and nighttime sky (with the sun, moon, and stars) for our creation books. We also talked about how we get ready for Shabbat, including lighting candles. We learned the blessing for lighting the Shabbat candles and made our own candlesticks to decorate our Shabbat table.
Next week, we will be hearing some stories with our librarian, and we will be making a special craft as part of our school-wide “Jewish Art Around The World” program. I also wanted to remind you about our Parents Day on November 22nd. You are invited to join us and the SK class for a special activity from 10:45 to 11:30. We can’t wait to have you visit!
