Nov 29 – Grade 5 – Tali
Shalom everyone,
Today we learned so many new things. We talked about Chanukah, as it is right around the corner. We tried to come up with good and mature answers as for the reasons we celebrate the holiday. Ask your children. We all agreed that the war against the Greeks was a difficult time for the Jews living in Israel. As a part of our review we looked at other holidays and occasions that we as Jewish people were chased out of our land because of our beliefs.
We started learning about a new prophet name Deborah, an intelligent, woman Judge. We will spend the next couple of weeks learning more about her. The students had a special time with Sandra working on an art project. More about that to follow…..
In Hebrew we continued the third blessing of the Amidah – Kedusha, a blessing that talks about God’s holiness. I am working with the students individually in class, trying to help with their reading, but again, practicing at home is a determination of success.
Have peaceful week.
