Nov 29- Grade 1 – Ariella

This week in Grade 1, we worked together to create a human chanukiya. We learned that all of the branches on the chanukiya should be the same size – all of the branches should be equal, just like we should treat all people equal!
We also did an art project relating to the mitzvah of hachnasat orchim, welcoming guests. Each student decorated a canvas with the words “welcome” in English and in Hebrew (B’ruchim Ha’Baim). They took the canvases home to display, and to help their guests feel at home.
