Musical Heritage Concert Series 2017-2018
Dear Congregants and Friends,
I hope that you have had a relaxing summer and are looking forward with great anticipation to the upcoming High Holy Day season.
As is our custom year after year, our Music Committee and I are thrilled to announce our Musical Heritage Concert Series for 2018. Attached you will find the brochure in which this year’s events are outlined. Please check the links listed in the brochure for additional information about each group. This year, in particular, we are launching an elongated concert music series. We are so lucky to be able to attract international stars to our Temple.
Like last few years successful experiences, we have some ticketed concerts as attractive “bookends” as well as some musical events free of charge to our congregation as pivotal religious and cultural events in the life of the congregation. Both approaches and productions are of the highest educational and musicianship level
All our events are designed to enhance our worship and festival experience. Namely, Shabbat Shira and Erev 7th Day of Passover will be unique its musical offerings. The added highlight this year will be our First Night of Chanukah, Tuesday, December 12th, “Even Hapinah” – Laying of our renewal cornerstone with a special dedication ceremony for which I wrote a celebration musical composition, followed by a lively “Klez Konnection” concert.
I encourage you to take notice of these rich, cultural and spiritual events and become a donor or sponsor to support our programs. Your generous donation will enable us to bring the Musical Heritage Series to Temple members and the wider Jewish community.
It will help us build an impressive musical artistic community.
With warm regards,
Beny
