Canadian soprano Kyra Folk-Farber is establishing herself as an exciting and versatile young artist. Kyra has sung as a soloist with the Montreal Symphony Orchestra, the Tel Aviv Chamber Orchestra, the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra and a number of ensembles. On the operatic stage she has portrayed many memorable characters. Montreal’s “Le Devoir” praised her “powerful and biting” portrayal as Donna Anna in Mozart’s Don Giovanni. Kyra has performed Yiddish songs in both Vancouver and Toronto venues.

She received her Bachelor of Music from the New England Conservatory in Boston and in 2009 received her Doctorate of Music in Vocal Performance from Universite de Montreal. Kyra placed second in NYCO’s 2011 Mozart Competition and was the 2011 winner of the Ben Steinberg Musical Legacy Award.
