Monday October 16, 2017 – Grade 7
On Monday October 16 Holy Blossom’s Grade Seven students visited the Imdadul Islamic Center, located in the Keele/Sheppard neighbourhood of Toronto.
Our evening with members of the city’s Muslim community could not have been better! The students – together with accompanying faculty and parents – toured the building, spoke with and listened to the Center’s imam, observed a prayer service and were treated to a generous selection of refreshments. Overall, our field trip was a most-informative and excellent adventure.
Activities such as these nurture interfaith understanding, enhance community life and establish enduring friendships. Such engagement is to be encouraged; it is a win-win experience for everyone involved.
