Dear Parents:

Today we actually had our final Hebrew class together. We went through everything we’ve learned this year which includes the chanting of: Ashrei, Kiddush for Friday night, blessings for before and after reading Torah, and blessings for before and after chanting the haftarah. Students will bring their Hebrew folders home next week.

Both of the grade 6 classes worked together to create a timeline of Jewish history, focusing on different diaspora communities overtime, as well as pivotal moments and events in Jewish history. Students worked in small groups to create brief presentations on a certain diaspora community or event – many students wrote and performed songs and skits.
