Monday March 27, 2017 – Grade 6
From Sari:
This week our Grade 6 students donated their time and packed Passover hampers. Students were surprised to learn how many people within the Jewish community are in need of assistance. It is such an important mitzvah and students should feel proud of being part of such an amazing project.
Kol Yisrael arevim zeh leh zeh – all of Israel are responsible to one another.
From Tali:
The grade six students had a wonderful opportunity to take part in packing boxes with goods for Pesach at the National Council of Jewish Women of Canada. As the president of the organization said, “We are a unique bridge between the haves and have nots, between Jewish and secular cultures, between Canadian, Israeli and international initiatives. In our name you will find a proud history of more than a century of action and advocacy, of struggle and success in advancing social justice and human welfare.” The kids had a great time and I was so proud to see the fantastic job they did.
