Monday January 30 – Grade 6

This week our grade six class continued learning about the Jewish tradition of debating. The kids participated in their own versions of the Talmudic debates of Hillel and Shammai. They debated how the channukiah should be lit, and the issue of the “ugly” bride – ask them to tell you the details of the debates!  The kids learned both how debating works and how sometimes morals outweigh law in the Talmud.
