Dear Parents:

We were honoured to welcome Rabbi Lee Buckman, the Head of School at CHAT (Community Hebrew Academy). Rabbi Buckman took the opportunity to meet our students and share an interesting lesson on mitzvah. It was a great session.

Our students also had the opportunity to learn from former students in our school (now in Grades 8 & 9) about some of the details of planning B’nei Mitzvah. It was great to learn from older students. We also learned about two other Holy Blossom programs, HABSTY (Holy Awesome Blossom Temple Youth) which is our Temple youth activities organization, and about JTEM – our Grade 8-12 learning program. Both of these will be mentioned many more times this year. We want to encourage participation in all that we do!

We all also had an opportunity to put our yad (Torah pointer) together in anticipation of our celebration. We hope that the yad will not only be used on the day of your child’s celebration, but will also be used many times m the future.
