Monday February 8 – Stuart
Grade 6
This week during the second hour, our class concentrated on identifying primary and secondary sources of information in Judaism. We investigated many terms and items that can be found in libraries, synagogues, schools and peoples’ homes.
After defining each of the items and categorizing them, the class took part in a lively conversation and shared where we felt each of the artifacts belonged. It sparked the discussion of how we first learned about our religion.
During the class discussion, many of us shared stories about holidays, songs, and food that resonated with us and our religion and also talked about how traditions and customs are passed down from family to family.
