Monday February 5, 2018 – Grade 6

From Rebekah:

This week in Grade 6, we recapped our discussion from last week regarding the transition from sacrifice to prayer. We then moved into an activity about Hillel and Shammai, and the Rabbinic Period of Judaism. Students participated in a simulation of the ‘on on foot’ story featuring Hillel and Shammai, and articulated the differences in both of their approaches to teaching and Judaism. We finished as a full school community in T’filllah. Looking forward to another great week next week!

This week Cantor C’s class finished out until in Jewish debates. We debated two modern ethical debates and learned the Jewish response We also joined with the rest of the school for tefillah.
