Monday April 18 – Samantha and Stuart
Armed with chart paper, stickers, markers, glitter, and hot glue guns, our grade 7 class got right down to business this week.
After visiting a church, a mosque, and an orthodox synagogue we were ready to compare and contrast the world’s religions. At first we completed the comparison: what did we see as similarities between the three religions; practices, prayers, and philosophy.
Following that, we began to fill in the outlying parts of our chart. We populated the outer rims with items that were present in only one of the three houses of worship we visited.
While working on our creative venn diagrams, a lot of summative discussions took place, showing how much we gained from our visits.
As a class we hope to reciprocate the visits and welcome other groups to Holy Blossom.
Have a great week ahead and enjoy your Passover!
