Monday April 11 – Sam & Daniel

Dear Parents:

The grade 7’s, along with teachers and Rabbi Satz, went on a field trip to the warm and welcoming Imdadul Islamic Centre. It was the last part of our focus on monotheistic religions. We were very fortunate to learn about different components of Islam, such as their food standards and holidays but much of our learning was surrounding prayer; who, what, where, when, why and how. We got to see an evening prayer service and we were even fed kosher pizza!

The students asked amazing questions.

Our focus next week will be on how we are all different-yet similar, comparing and contrasting Christianity and Islam with Judaism.
