Join us to celebrate with Dori Levine, our treasured Bar/Bat Mitzvah Tutor and teacher as she retires from HBT!
Teachers are the heroes in Jewish life. After 30 years of devotion, one of our finest teachers, Dori Levine, is retiring from her work at Holy Blossom Temple. Dori has been the expert who prepares our Project Tikvah students for Bar and Bat Mitzvah. With skill and compassion she helped each one to find his and her confidence and pride when reading from the Torah.
Please join us in honouring Dori on Shabbat morning, November 30, when she will be called to the Torah for a special aliyah and we will have an opportunity to thank her for how she has served and strengthened our congregation throughout the years.
Dori Levine had a tremendous impact on my family about 10 years ago. She worked with and prepared both of my sons for their Bar Mitzvahs with great patience and love. Her gentle way of teaching resulted in both of my sons having a successful and rewarding experience on the Bimah. Furthermore, she was a major influence in encouraging me to have my own adult Bat Mitzvah in 2008. We wish Dori all the best in her retirement.
