January Highlights From the ECC

Because our new library program is so well received with teachers and children alike, Caroline has graciously extended her time with us so the children can visit more frequently. We have enhanced the program so children have an opportunity to sign out a library book from their classroom after each visit with Caroline.

New for January 2020 – We welcome L’Dance to our ECC.  L’Dance offers Dance & Music/Movement Classes & Parties to Moms, Babies & Kids in community centres, schools, daycares & in homes. Owner and Founder of L’Dance Lisa Oberman is an experienced Professional Ballerina; Stage Performer and Competitive Dancer; Teen Dancer Of The Year Award Winner; TV Contestant and Celebrity – So You Think You Can Dance Israel

Instilling the values of mitzvot, tzedakah and tikun olam, are integral to our program. We do what we can to engage the children in hands-on learning experiences to help teach them these concepts. For example, our Chanukah toy drive for Chai Lifeline Canada, our weekly tzedakah box collection, and our nursery children’s monthly visits to Baycrest.

We have also been collecting travel/trial size toiletries and socks for Holy Blossom’s 120 weekly Out of the Cold guests. The children, in their classrooms, will be preparing gift bags for each guest to be delivered in the middle of February.
